Do you offer a free consultation?

We are happy to talk to you about the nature of any potential claim you may have, free of charge, to see if we can help. Initially, we can do this by email or by phone. If we feel we help, then we can take the next steps in providing representation.
What are your fees?

Fees are determined by an agreement, or contract, between us and a client. Depending on the type of case you have, there are different options for paying for attorney fees and costs. We are happy to talk about what makes the most sense for your particular case. Some options include:

Hourly rates: where fees are determined by an amount charged per hour for the time of attorneys and other staff who work on your case. For this type of arrangement, you would receive an invoice on a regular basis, usually monthly. A retainer or “deposit” is required to begin cases handled based on hourly rates.

Contingent fee: where our firm receives a percentage of an amount recovered on our client’s behalf. If no recovery is made‚ the attorney receives no fee. (The client is always expected to pay any out-of-pocket expenses incurred in litigating any claims.)
Will my case have to go to court?

The bottom line is that every case is different. We will try hard to reach a fair resolution, without needing to go to court. However, sometimes it’s necessary for a claim to be tried in court to a judge or a jury. Our goal is to handle your case as quickly as possible while keeping your best interest in mind. We are never afraid to go all the way and take a case to court, if we feel it is in the client’s best interest.
How long will it take my case to be resolved?
Why should I hire an attorney?

It’s important to at least talk to an attorney, to see if the facts of your particular situation create a viable claim. There are times when someone has been wronged, but there is no basis for a claim. An attorney can advise you on whether or not it is prudent to proceed with a lawsuit or some other option for addressing a valid claim, inform you on how the lawsuit is likely to proceed and give you some realistic expectations as to how the case may turn out, though there is never a guaranty about the results in any case. One of the main reasons to hire any attorney is the benefit of education and experience that can help you navigate the complicated world of litigation that a lawyer can provide. That is why it is important to find an attorney who has the right knowledge and experience for your particular case.
